Ensign College of Public Health (ECOPH) is a private, non-profit tertiary institution established by Dr. Lynette N. Gay to increase the availability of well-educated, community-engaged public health professionals and contribute to the science of promoting community-focused public health in Ghana, across
the continent of Africa and beyond. Pursuant to the aims and objectives for the establishment of the Ensign College of Public Health, these Statutes are hereby made in consonance with the powers of the College Board of Governors on February 23, 2018.
These Statutes and any Regulations made thereunder shall be construed in every way or manner to give effect to the following guiding principles:
1. To ensure that staff members have freedom within the law to question and test received knowledge, and to put forward new ideas, including those that may be considered controversial or unpopular, without placing themselves in jeopardy of losing their jobs or privileges
2. To provide an uplifting environment for accountable learning
3. To involve partners to ensure that community-engaged scholarship remains central to academic pursuits
4. To enable the College to provide education, promote learning, and engage in research efficiently and economically; and To apply principles of justice and fairness.
